I believe attention to detail, good listening skills and empathy are the hallmarks of a great advisor.
When working with my clients, I take a uniquely personal approach to managing wealth, founded on one-to-one connections, approachability and open conversations.
I have spent the past 20 years working directly with some of the worlds’ largest pension funds and I use my knowledge, experience and expertise to create pension-like portfolios for my clients. With stocks and bonds moving higher together, we need to search for other areas to diversify their investments to hedge against the global economic outlook. That could mean more flows into alternatives -- away from the almost 80% that currently sits in equities, bonds or cash.
I believe that the biggest risk that a client faces is the failure to meet his or her financial goal. Through careful financial planning and a detailed assessment of your risk tolerance and investment objectives, we can match you with an asset mix that will meet your personal financial needs. Risk cannot be eliminated, but it can be managed with a properly engineered portfolio to reduce expected volatility for a given level of expected return.
I hold a Bachelors' Degree in Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance from the University of Sydney, Australia, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and numerous other industry related credentials. I have over 12 years’ experience working in global investment banking firms where I focused on pension fund investment guidance and risk and equities management.
When I am not in the office I can be found at home in Oakville with my husband and two daughters. When not out horse-riding, my daughters, Maddison and Henley, are usually balancing, bounding or cart-wheeling around our house practicing their gymnastic routines.
